2013 SUMMER SWIM CLINICS
THIS INFORMATION IS BEING UPDATED
The Sea Dragons Competitive Swim Camp, held at the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA Aquatic Center in Boynton Beach, Florida, have a focus on developing campers' swimming skills and technique. Swimmers learn theories behind each of the four competitive strokes by listening to narratives given by past NCAA coaches, high school coaches and former NCAA athletes. Please note: Campers should already have working knowledge of the four competitive strokes and be registered with USA SWIMMING.
Swim sessions will be dedicated to teaching and applying correct technique to each camper's stroke. Campers will be split into small groups with an assigned coach so they receive more individual attention during all sessions. Start/turn work, dryland and other training aspects will be included in the camp curriculum!
Join the Tradition : Experience the Excellence : Live the Passion
Registration will be held on the ground floor of the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach on the first day of camp. A camper orientation will be held following check in, after which camp head director will take campers to the first instructional session. Refer to the appropriate camp itineraries (information will be available soon) for exact times.
Our competitive swimming camp is held in the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA swimming pools. Our facilities also include state of the art training rooms, and the Training Center (an amazing strength and conditioning facility).
What to Bring
Campers should bring their own dryland workout gear, swimsuit, goggles, water bottle and sunscreen.
